PPOP DSCVR 2022


 


PPOP DSCVR is the compilation of the recommendations you can listen to, for a PPop fan. These songs and artists will be featured might you haven't heard yet, and this is the best time to listen to these groups and soloists. 


The songs that are included are the ones that were released between January 1 and December 15 of this year. The songs in the list will feature based on chronological order.


Sulong (Alec Xavier Marcial)


- PPop soloist Alec Xavier Marcial released his song "Sulong" last February 26. The song tackles the motivation from hardships in life and continues to fight to reach the dreams in our journey. Alec Xavier Marcial is set to release a new single next year.


Wala Na Nga (X-Glam)


- Newly independent PPop group X-Glam officially debuted on May 20, with their single "Wala Na Nga". This song tackles the first love that ends up in a broken relationship. The song was featured on OneMusic PH last August.


Good Morning, Good Night (CONTINYOU)


- CONTINYOU dropped their 2nd released single this year called "Good Morning, Good Night", on June 17. This song tackles the love that prevails despite its "long distance" relationship. This has been one of the most-streamed songs by an Online PPOP Group.


Sumpa (Valfer)


- Magiliws were shocked by the surprising departure of Valfer from ALAMAT around February, not until he dropped his RnB-flavored debut solo "Sumpa", on June 21. This song tackles the person who falls in love, and since then, it cannot get over on expressing to one who loves. As of this writing, the music video has now 40,000 views.


Litrato (Asfire)


- Independent PPop group Asfire released their JPop-inspired comeback single "Litrato '', last July 31. This song tackles the appreciation of past memories and moving forward for better tomorrow. The group was nominated for "Pop Indie Artist of the Year'' at this year's PPOP Awards.


Volcano (Kim Aljeon)


- Kim Aljeon (CONTINYOU) released his nose-inspired single "Volcano". This song analyzed that Volcano is an analogy of a performer's point of view of showing off and giving their best on stage. The song lately became part of his 2nd mini album "Are You Happy Now?" this month.


Wait For Me (GPMPlayz, Kim Aljeon)


- GPMPlayz and Kim Aljeon (which are both from CONTINYOU) dropped their collaboration single called "Wait For Me", as part of GPMPlayz' 9th mini album "Doors' ' on August 12. This song can interpret into two meanings: telling the date and wait on a desired time, and waiting for his/her time to shine from doubters. 


Pasahero (Blvck Ace)


- Blvck Ace debuted last October 14, with their debut single "Pasahero". This song tackles a person showing love and leaving the problems behind. As of this writing, the official music video has now more than 10,000 views.


Para (YARA)


- Popinoy co-winner YARA is about to takeoff on their pre-debut single "Para" on November 7. The song tackles a person's journey from nothing to extraordinary. Currently, the group are about to release their another single in a matter of time.


Always Remember (Mona Gonzales)


- Mona Gonzales became the latest addition of ShowBT Philippines, along with SB19, KAIA, and 4th Impact, and dropped the JPop-inspired single "Always Remember". The song talks about comfort and self-love in times of anxiety, and reminds us that someone will cheer you on and not letting you down. Since its release on November 29, the music video has 82,000 views.
